Francesco De Carlo

In Italy, Francesco is one of the most established stand-up comedians. He is also a TV host, writer, and radio personality. His one-hour special is available on Netflix in 190 countries. He has hosted several TV shows on major national networks (Rai, Sky, Comedy Central).

In 2025, he starred in a new prime-time show, “In & Out – Niente di serio”, on TV8. He voiced the character Mr. Shark in the DreamWorks animated films The Bad Guys and The Bad Guys 2.

He also wrote a book about his experience in the UK, La mia Brexit (Bompiani).

Francesco is writing his new stand-up show (his ninth), which he will take on tour in 2026.

LAST TOUR

Mortacci Tour 2025 (show in Italian) is selling out theatres across the country, with over 50 dates in the first half of the year and nearly 40,000 attendees. It is a one-man show about the history of Ancient Rome, focusing on the similarities between the past and the present. A journey through the key figures and major events of more than 1,000 years. The Ancient Romans faced many of the same challenges we experience today: populism, propaganda, civil rights struggles, war, pandemics, and climate change.

A monologue that combines history and comedy and that was very well received by both audiences and the press.

ABROAD

Francesco is the first Italian comedian to perform in English. He has worked in 17 countries, taking part in major comedy festivals in Edinburgh, Johannesburg, and Montreal.

In London, he had two sold-out runs in 2017 and 2019, and today he performs regularly at the legendary Comedy Cellar in New York.

He opened for Matteo Lane at the prestigious Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall in New York, as well as in several major theatres across Europe and the US.

In 2025, Francesco De Carlo launched his first US tour, “Live in America”. New dates coming in 2026.
